AffilatePrograms.com just launched their new website. If you visited the site in the past, it pretty much looked like a directory with a forum. But now with their new design they have made a lot of improvements.

If you are a reader of this blog then you know what Behavioral Targeting is and how it is the latest (not really) idea that everyone is embracing. Ad network, web analytics tool vendors, agencies etc. all now claim to have behavioral targeting capabilities. Weather they really have the behavioral targeting capabilities or not is a topic of another blog topic. Some other like Google do behavioral targeting but do not talk about it.

Aside from the fact the headline would put Dr. Seuss to shame, the context of ad and story really couldn't get much worse...

Aaron Wall wrote an interesting article the other day about the value of a Google ranking. As we already know being number 1 on Google can drastically affect your business, but the question is, what is it worth? According to the data that AOL released a while back the number 10 listing gets 14x less clicks than the number 1 listing. And to go one step further, 89% of the clicks that users make when searching, happen to be on page 1.

What is your current position and the name of the company you work for.

We've revisited our facebook presence, and have opted for a 'Fan' Page rather than a Group (which we'll now close). Fan Pages weren't around when we first got on the FB bandwagon and overall we found updating the group too much of a hassle.
